Mastery Cave Guide
Overview
The Mastery Cave is a new feature introduced in Stardew Valley 1.6. It becomes accessible after the player reaches level 10 in all five skills (Farming, Mining, Foraging, Fishing, and Combat). Inside, players can choose from five distinct mastery paths, each providing powerful permanent bonuses.
How to Unlock
- Reach level 10 in all five skills:
- Farming
- Mining
- Foraging
- Fishing
- Combat
- Once all skills are maxed, a notification will appear.
- The Mastery Cave is located in the Cindersap Forest (southeast area).
The Five Mastery Paths
After unlocking the cave, players earn Mastery Points by performing skill-related activities. These points can be spent on the following mastery paths:
1. Farming Mastery
- Increases crop quality chances.
- Unlocks the ability to use Golden Animal Crackers.
- Provides bonuses to animal product quality.
2. Mining Mastery
- Increases ore yield from nodes.
- Unlocks the ability to find Gem Nodes more frequently.
- Provides bonuses to geode contents.
3. Foraging Mastery
- Increases forageable spawn rates.
- Unlocks the ability to find Moss more easily.
- Provides bonuses to tree product quality.
4. Fishing Mastery
- Increases fish quality chances.
- Unlocks the ability to find Treasure Chests more frequently.
- Provides bonuses to crab pot yields.
5. Combat Mastery
- Increases damage dealt.
- Unlocks special combat abilities and bonuses.
- Provides bonuses to monster loot drops.
Tips
- Focus on leveling all skills evenly to unlock the cave sooner.
- Choose mastery paths that complement your playstyle.
- Mastery Points continue to accumulate after maxing skills, so keep playing.
- The bonuses are permanent and significantly impact late-game efficiency.
