Quests Guide
Quests in Stardew Valley provide structure and goals throughout your gameplay. From the initial story quests that introduce game mechanics to recurring Help Wanted requests and Special Orders, completing quests rewards you with money, items, and relationships with the community.
Quest Types
Story Quests
Main story progression quests given by the game. These introduce key mechanics and characters. Includes the Community Center restoration or Joja Mart development path.
Help Wanted
Recurring quests posted on the bulletin board outside Pierre's General Store. Deliver specific items to villagers for gold and friendship rewards. New quests appear daily.
Special Orders
Multi-day quest boards unlocked after completing Community Center or buying Joja membership. Offer challenging tasks with unique rewards like Qi Gems.

Help Wanted Quests
Help Wanted quests are posted daily on the bulletin board outside Pierre's General Store. Each quest asks you to deliver a specific item to a villager. The reward is typically gold equal to the item's sell price multiplied by a factor, plus 150 friendship points with the requesting villager.
- Frequency: One new quest per day (max 1 active at a time)
- Deadline: Quests expire after a certain number of days (usually 2-3)
- Reward: Gold (typically 2-3x item value) + 150 friendship points
- Tip: Check the board every morning and keep common items in stock
Special Orders
Special Orders are unlocked after completing the Community Center or purchasing a Joja membership. They appear on the Special Order board in town and offer challenging, multi-day objectives with unique rewards.
- Duration: Varies from a few days to an entire season
- Rewards: Gold, Qi Gems, unique items
- Qi Gems: Used at Mr. Qi's Walnut Room on Ginger Island
- Tip: Plan ahead for orders that require large quantities of items
