Mr. Qi Guide
Mr. Qi is a mysterious NPC in Stardew Valley, acquainted with the player’s grandfather. He appears in multiple locations, providing various challenges and rewards.

”The Mysterious Qi” Quest Chain
Complete this quest chain to obtain the Club Card and enter the Desert Casino.

Beets can only be purchased from the Traveling Cart in Winter (100g each), recommended to stock up in advance.
Skull Cavern Challenge
After entering Skull Cavern, Mr. Qi will issue challenge quests:
- Reach Floor 25 - Reward 10,000g (delivered by mail the next day)
Skull Cavern Floor 100 Encounter
After using the clue from Secret Note #10 to reach Skull Cavern Floor 100:
- Reach using fewer than 10 staircases: Mr. Qi praises your strength, gifts Iridium Snake Milk (permanent +25 max health)
- Reach using 10+ staircases: Mr. Qi says “clever but not very honorable”, still gifts Iridium Snake Milk
Iridium Snake Milk is a very precious permanent stat boost item, recommended to obtain as early as possible.
Walnut Room (Mr. Qi’s Walnut Room)
Collect 100 Golden Walnuts to unlock the Ginger Island Walnut Room, containing:
- Progress Tracker: Displays Perfection completion progress (11 items)
- Special Order Board: Accept Mr. Qi’s Special Orders to obtain Qi Gems
- Vending Machine: Exchange Qi Gems for rare items and recipes

Perfection System
Mr. Qi is closely related to the Perfection system. After completing all 11 Perfection goals:
- Meet Mr. Qi and grandfather at the mountain peak
- Obtain Perfection Waiver (1.6 new): Spend 500,000g at the Dig Site mushroom cave to purchase 1% Perfection
Useful Tips
- Mr. Qi’s challenge quests are recommended to accept when you are strong enough
- Qi Gems should prioritize purchasing Galaxy Soul (unlocks Infinity weapons) and Junimo Chest
- Perfection Waiver can be purchased multiple times, suitable for players who don’t want to complete all goals
- The treasure chests in the Mines are all placed by Mr. Qi (easter egg setting)
