Overview
The Luau is a summer festival in Stardew Valley where the entire town gathers at the beach for a communal soup tasting event hosted by the Governor.

- Entry: Enter The Beach between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM to participate
Location
The Beach — The sandy shores east of Pelican Town are decorated with tropical-themed decorations and a large soup pot.
How to Participate
- Travel to The Beach during festival hours.
- Talk to villagers to enjoy the atmosphere.
- Add an ingredient to the communal soup pot for the Governor to taste.
Soup Ingredient Effects
The ingredient you add to the soup affects the Governor’s reaction and your friendship with villagers:
Best Response (+120 friendship with all villagers)
- Silver or Gold quality: Krobus’s favorite (if modded), or high-quality loved items
- Silver/Gold quality: Ancient Fruit, Purple Mushroom, Starfruit, or other universally loved items of good quality
Good Response (+60 friendship with all villagers)
- Adding a liked item of normal or better quality
- Examples: Most fruits, most vegetables, most cooked dishes
Neutral Response (no friendship change)
- Adding a neutral item
- Examples: Wild Horseradish, Daffodil, Leek, Dandelion, most foraged items
Bad Response (-50 friendship with all villagers)
- Adding a disliked or hated item
- Examples: Holly, Stone, Sap, Torch, most fish, most artisan goods (except wine/cheese)
Worst Response (-100 friendship with all villagers)
- Adding a universally hated item or something toxic
- Examples: Rotten Plant, Sea Urchin (if hated), or deliberately bad items

- The festival ends automatically at 2:00 PM, and you return to the farm at 10:00 PM.
