Stardew Valley Statue of Perfection Guide
Overview
The Statue of Perfection is a unique furniture item that produces Iridium Ore daily. It is obtained through Grandpa’s Evaluation, a progress check that occurs at the start of Year 3.
How to Obtain
The Statue of Perfection is awarded based on your performance in Grandpa’s Evaluation.
Grandpa’s Evaluation
At the beginning of Year 3 (Spring 1), the ghost of your grandfather evaluates your farm progress. You are scored on various criteria, and if you achieve 4 or more lit candles out of 4, you will receive the Statue of Perfection.
Evaluation Criteria (Points System)

Candle Thresholds
- 0-3 points: 1 candle
- 4-7 points: 2 candles
- 8-11 points: 3 candles
- 12+ points: 4 candles
You need 4 candles (12+ points) to receive the Statue of Perfection.
Re-evaluation
If you do not receive 4 candles on your first evaluation, you can be re-evaluated:
- Place a Diamond on Grandpa’s Shrine (the shrine on the northwest corner of your farm).
- Grandpa will re-evaluate your progress the next day.
- There is no limit to re-evaluations.
Daily Production
The Statue of Perfection produces 2-8 Iridium Ore every day.

Uses for Iridium Ore
Iridium Ore is one of the most valuable resources in the game:

- Upgrading Tools: The final tool upgrade (Iridium level) requires Iridium Bars.
- Building: Used in some late-game construction projects.
- Gifting: Iridium Bars are universally liked gifts.

- Place the Statue of Perfection anywhere on your farm or in buildings.
- It produces Iridium Ore every day automatically.
- Consider placing it near a Furnace for convenient smelting.

- The Statue of Perfection is the most reliable source of Iridium Ore in the game.
