Stardew Valley Wood Chipper Guide
Introduction
The Wood Chipper is a device added in Stardew Valley 1.6, used to convert Hardwood into regular Wood, with a chance to obtain additional Sap and Wood resources.
Unlock Requirements
- Reach Foraging Level 4 to unlock the recipe.
Crafting Materials
- Wood x30
- Stone x30
- Copper Bar x2
Function
- Place 1 Hardwood for processing.
- Output:
- Wood x5-7
- Sap x0-2
- Processing time is approximately 3 hours (game time).
Usage Scenarios
- Excess Hardwood: In the late game, Hardwood accumulates in large quantities and can be converted into more versatile regular Wood.
- Building Needs: Constructing farm buildings (such as barn and coop upgrades) requires a large amount of regular Wood.
- Crafting Needs: Many crafting recipes require regular Wood rather than Hardwood.
Usage Tips
- After planting a large number of Mahogany Trees, Hardwood production will be high.
- The Wood Chipper is suitable for placement near the Carpenter’s Shop or warehouse on the farm.
- Does not require continuous operation; suitable as a passive resource conversion device.
Notes
- Cannot place regular Wood for processing.
- Hardwood itself is also an important resource (used for construction, crafting Hardwood Fences, etc.), so please allocate it reasonably.
