Stardew Valley Auto-Grabber Guide
Introduction
Auto-Grabber is a very practical automation tool in Stardew Valley. When placed inside a Barn or Coop, it automatically collects animal products such as milk, eggs, wool, etc.
Acquisition
- Purchase: Available at Pierreโs General Store for 25,000g after reaching Farming Level 10
- Unlock Condition: Requires Farming skill Level 10
Usage
- Place the Auto-Grabber inside a Barn or Coop
- Only one Auto-Grabber is needed per building
- The next morning, all animal products will be automatically collected into the Auto-Grabber
- Interact with the Auto-Grabber to retrieve collected items
Collectible Items
Auto-Grabber can automatically collect the following animal products:
Coop
- Egg
- Large Egg
- Brown Egg
- Large Brown Egg
- Duck Egg
- Duck Feather
- Rabbitโs Foot
- Dinosaur Egg
Barn
- Milk
- Large Milk
- Goat Milk
- Large Goat Milk
- Wool
- Truffle - discovered by pigs outdoors
- Ostrich Egg
Notes
- Only one Auto-Grabber is needed per Barn/Coop
- Does not collect items that require manual interaction (such as petting animals for friendship)
- Does not affect animal friendship (same as manual collection)
- Collected items remain in the Auto-Grabber until player retrieves them
- No capacity limit
Strategy Tips
- In large farms with multiple barns/coops, Auto-Grabber can save a lot of time
- Combined with Auto-Petter, fully automated animal farming can be achieved
- Recommended to place one in every Barn and Coop
- Especially important for truffle farms (large number of pigs)
Difference from Auto-Petter
- Auto-Grabber: Collects animal products
- Auto-Petter: Automatically pets animals daily, maintaining friendship
Both used together can achieve fully automated animal farming.
