Bus Stop Guide

Overview

The Bus Stop is a location in the northeast corner of Stardew Valley, east of the Farm. Initially, the bus is broken down and cannot be used. Repairing it unlocks access to the Calico Desert, a late-game area containing the Skull Cavern, Oasis shop, and other unique resources.

How to Unlock

There are two ways to repair the bus:

  • Complete the Vault room bundles in the Community Center.
  • The Vault requires four money bundles:
    • 2,500g bundle
    • 5,000g bundle
    • 10,000g bundle
    • 25,000g bundle
  • Total cost: 42,500g
  • Once completed, the Junimos repair the bus overnight.

2. Joja Community Development Form

  • Purchase a JojaMart Membership for 5,000g from Morris.
  • After completing all other Joja Community Development projects, pay 40,000g for the Bus repair.
  • The bus is repaired the next day.

Using the Bus

  • After repair, the bus operates from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Each trip to the Calico Desert costs 500g.
  • Pam is the bus driver (after her house is built in 1.4+).

Calico Desert

Once unlocked, the desert provides access to:

  • Skull Cavern: A dangerous mine with iridium ore and prismatic shards.
  • Oasis: Sells rare seeds (like Rhubarb, Starfruit, and Beet seeds).
  • Sandy: A villager who sells unique items.
  • Three Pillars: Used to obtain the Galaxy Sword.
  • Desert Trader: Trades goods for Omni Geodes and other items.

Tips

  • Save up gold early to complete the Vault bundles.
  • The Skull Cavern is extremely dangerous; bring plenty of food and bombs.
  • Starfruit seeds from the Oasis are highly profitable for wine-making.
