Mill Guide
The Mill is a farm building in Stardew Valley used to process harvested crops into higher-value goods.
Unlock Requirements
- Farming Level: 1
- Once reached, can be built at Robin’s Carpenter’s Shop

Function and Uses
The Mill can process the following crops into products:

How to Use
- Place crops into the input slot on the left side of the Mill
- Wait until the next morning for processing to complete
- Collect finished products from the output slot on the right
Processing Advantages
- Flour: Sells for more than raw Wheat, essential ingredient for many cooking recipes
- Sugar: Used for cooking and recipes, Beets processed into Sugar greatly increase value
- Rice: Used for many cooking recipes
Tips
- The Mill is a practical building available early in the game, recommended to build as soon as possible
- Wheat can be planted in Summer and Fall, providing a stable Flour source
- Beets are planted in Fall, seeds sold at the Oasis in the Desert
- The Mill can process multiple crop types at once, each calculated independently
- Processed products can be placed in the Shipping Bin to sell or used for Cooking
