Trees and Wood

  • Regular trees (Oak, Maple, Pine) spawn regularly
  • Stumps and hardwood stumps also appear
  • A good secondary source of Wood and Hardwood
  • Mahogany Trees can also spawn (rare)

Quarry Layout

  • The Quarry is a large open area with multiple levels and cliffs
  • A bridge connects the main mountain area to the quarry
  • The area is affected by seasonal changes (snow in winter)
  • There is a small pond in the quarry area
  • The quarry is separate from the Mines and does not require a pickaxe to enter

Strategic Uses

Early Game

  • Supplemental source of Stone and Ore
  • Alternative to deep mining when energy is low
  • Source of Geodes for Museum donations
  • Wood and Hardwood from spawning trees

Mid to Late Game

  • Passive resource generation while focusing on other tasks
  • Source of Iridium Ore without going to Skull Cavern
  • Gem farming for gifting and crafting
  • Geode farming for minerals and artifacts

Tips and Tricks

Daily Routine

  • Check the Quarry every morning for new spawns
  • Prioritize rare nodes (Iridium, Diamond, Omni Geodes)
  • Clear all nodes to maximize next-day spawns
  • Bring bombs to clear large areas quickly

Tool Upgrades

  • A Gold or Iridium Pickaxe makes clearing the Quarry much faster
  • Consider using Explosive Ammo with a Slingshot for clustered rocks

Seasonal Considerations

  • Winter: Quarry is covered in snow but still spawns resources
  • Trees do not grow in winter, but stumps remain
  • Rain does not affect quarry spawns

Quarry Bridge Repair

After unlocking the Quarry, the broken bridge to the east of the Quarry can be repaired:

  • Cost: 500 Wood
  • Leads to: The Quarry Mine (a small additional mining area)
  • The Quarry Mine contains unique monsters and resources

The Quarry Mine

After repairing the bridge east of the Quarry (500 Wood):

  • A small dungeon-like area with multiple levels
  • Contains unique enemies
  • Features a special Golden Coconut spawn point
  • Additional mining opportunities beyond the main Quarry
  • The Mines: Main dungeon for mining (levels 1-120)
  • Skull Cavern: Advanced mining area in the Calico Desert
  • Volcano Dungeon: Ginger Island endgame mining
  • Blacksmith: Clint processes Geodes and upgrades tools
  • Adventurerโ€™s Guild: Buy weapons and combat items

Summary

The Quarry is an excellent passive resource generation area that becomes available mid-game through Community Center progression. While it wonโ€™t replace the Mines or Skull Cavern for dedicated mining sessions, it provides a safe, monster-free environment for daily resource collection. Check it every day, clear all nodes, and enjoy the steady stream of Stone, Ore, Gems, and Geodes.
