Mr. Qi’s Walnut Room Guide
Mr. Qi’s Walnut Room is located in the northwestern part of the Ginger Island farm and is an important late-game facility. Once unlocked, you can exchange Qi Gems for rare items and recipes.
Unlock Requirements
Automatically unlocked after collecting a total of 100 Golden Walnuts. Sources of Golden Walnuts include:
- Chopping trees, mining, fishing, and foraging around Ginger Island
- Completing Professor Snail’s field surveys
- Chests and monster drops in the Volcano Dungeon
- The Hungry Frog quest
- Fishing challenges, etc.

- Plant Qi Fruit (Summer crop, seeds purchased from the Walnut Room).
- Ship 500 within 28 days, requiring large-scale planting.
- Recommended to plant on the Ginger Island farm (not restricted by season).
Let’s Play A Game (20 Qi Gems)
- Reach 50,000 points in Junimo Kart endless mode.
- Requires some practice; not difficult once you get the rhythm.
Four Gems (40 Qi Gems)
- Collect 4 newly obtained Prismatic Shards during the quest period.
- Can be obtained below floor 100 of the Skull Cavern.
Qi’s Hungry Challenge (25 Qi Gems)
- Reach floor 100 of the Skull Cavern without eating or drinking.
- Recommended to bring staircases and bombs to quickly descend to floor 100.
Qi’s Cuisine (25 Qi Gems)
- Sell 100,000g worth of freshly cooked food within 14 days.
- High-value dishes: Maki Roll (300g), Pumpkin Soup (240g), Sashimi (225g).
Qi’s Kindness (40 Qi Gems)
- Give 50 loved gifts within 7 days.
- Prepare each NPC’s loved items in advance.
The Extended Family (20 Qi Gems)
- Catch 5 Legendary Fish II within 3 days.
- Requires completing the Legendary Fish quest first.
Danger In The Deep (50 Qi Gems)
- Reach the bottom (floor 120) of the Mines after resetting the mine elevator.
- Bring plenty of staircases and bombs.
Skull Cavern Invasion (40 Qi Gems)
- Reach floor 100 of the Skull Cavern within 7 days.
Qi’s Prismatic Grange (35 Qi Gems)
- Place 100 items of each of the six colors in the shipping bin within 14 days.
- Requires extensive foraging and planting.
Useful Tips
- Prioritize purchasing the Junimo Chest and Galaxy Soul.
- The Hopper and Deconstructor greatly improve farm automation efficiency.
- Qi’s Crop quest is recommended to be done with large-scale planting on the Ginger Island farm.
- Multiple Qi Gem quests can be accepted at the same time.
- Perfection exemptions can be purchased in the Dig Site mushroom cave (500,000g = 1% Perfection), sold by the NPC Fizz, triggered after viewing the Perfection Tracker in the Walnut Room.
